Teddies, Hearts, and Vino

I have always had a love for teddy bears; seeing them on clothes and accessories has been a source of joy, reminding me of warmth and childhood memories.

The idea for ‘Teddies, Hearts, and Vino’ shawl was born on a rainy September evening in 2024, during a dinner at Da Claudio, a chic Italian restaurant in Nuremberg, Germany. 

It’s a place I often visit with a cherished business partner whenever we’re in town for an annual business show.

That evening, my eyes wandered to a drawing on the restaurant’s wall: a white-and-brown checkered pattern adorned with playful monkeys. It sparked an idea—what if I replaced those monkeys with teddy bears? I imagined adding hearts to represent love, and wine glasses as a tribute to the amazing wines Da Claudio offers.

This design became a celebration of the cozy evenings, the laughter shared over good wine, and the gentle reminder of love and connection. 

To bring this vision to life, I collaborated with the esteemed painter and illustrator Aysem Kandirali, who transformed its warmth and charm into a piece of timeless beauty.
